Dance Classes

MOVES Dance Company is excited to be included again in the programs offered at Beardstown Park District!  At Moves Dance Company we are passionate about dance and about our students.  We will be starting our fifth season in the fall of 2017.  Our students learn the basics of dance to build a solid base of support for their dancing.  They learn jazz and tap steps, with a little ballet and hip hop too.  Our small company has grown greatly in just our first five years.  We can’t wait to share our love of dance with even more students during our next season!  Carrie Martin was the coach for the BHS dance team from 2007-2009.  She has been teaching tap, jazz and acrobats since 2002.  Instructor Brooke Luna grew up in Beardstown and started dancing and tumbling when she was 2 ½, was on the BHS dance team throughout high school and taught tumbling at the Beardstown Park District from 2008-2013.  She has been with Moves Dance Company since 2013.  Recital is typically the second Saturday in May. Classes begin the week of August 27. Phone Carrie Martin at 242-9833, visit our Facebook page or to register.
